Ours get washed at least once a year ,weather they need it or not (actually the 322 that’s twice). As they will turn you away for an “MOT” if it’s not clean. And the main stealer always washes the car before yearly service, boss says “your car always makes our mechanics overalls dirty

But we don’t have the “salt grit” used on our roads
