Ta. I think the heated screen IS working...though I thought it wasn't. Hard to explain but basically the new screen is more subtle, no obvious lines of melted ice like the old one, and indeed, the elements are very hard to see compared to the old which were very obvious. The new screen clears...

Yes, correct. I've got this and a couple of wiring pics that I'll print off shortly. I had no idea such a file existed for leccy stuff. I'll probably print all 500+ pages off at some point, much prefer looking at a manual than a screen, I get eye strain quite quickly.

Didn't work, bummer. Revs faltered briefly when switching it on though which is weird, like a heavy load was applied electrically but nowt. I seem to remember that the screen is switched in the becm , rear screen via relays in the engine fuse box. Anybody know which wire or wires need a dmm on...

Just had a downpour so I've checked and all OK, whether rain will get in when I'm doing 140mph down the bypass in my awesome powerful 2.5d is another thing altogether. The screen would probably feck off over the roof.

I haven't fixed it, photos are from today. Insurance covered the replacement except for £115 excess. I'll give them the 5 working days then escalate it.

That was your rain sensor thing though wasn't it? All they have to do on my p38 is remove the glass and stick it back correctly. I'll do the rest. Can't feck that up Shirley.... Only had 4 things in my whole life done by other people and non of them were done properly or they ripped me off...

Just had a thought...but I'll probably forget on the day :vb-groan2: . When the screen is out, I should be able to fit the rubber dash to internal windscreen strip back properly. Found it impossible otherwise. Think it's originally glued on to the dash lip, can't see how it stays put otherwise.

Just got off the phone to autoglass warranty department. They have added the badly fitted windscreen complaint on to the falling off top trim complaint from last Tuesday. 3 to 5 working days for a response or the fix, not sure which.

Not sure, it hasn't really rained here yet.....

I used ss studding and nuts.

The screen is so far over to the passenger side that the vin number is partially obscured.
