What did you do with your Range Rover today

Had to use the booster to start her. I knew it was going to happen. The older she gets the less she likes the first sharp bite of winter. 0° at lunchtime was enough for her to say " umm perhaps not without a little help dahhhling"

We got snow. Been coming down for a couple of hours now. Hopefully it'll get heavier

Well its slippery here so its been left at the unit safe, adopted the transit life,
It also decided the day after i parked it to stop locking the steering wheel when removing the key so now i have to pull fuse 18 every time i want to turn the key

I dont want another winter of salty roads and crap all over my range rover so when mot runs out in December it'll not be getting motd again till February,
It still may have a run too Windsor and back with trailer too pick up my grey m47 converted transit,
But after putting 53k miles on the range rover in less then 2 years it deserves some proper tlc

I started by following this idea, but without the wifi thing, which is where the trouble started, because I wasn't using what he used. The wiring was the same idea though, and I bought a cheap (less than a tenner off fleabay) remote relay. So it's a positive lead from the vehicle wiring to the + on the circuit board, with a connection to the 'com' terminal, earth to the - on the board, and a trigger wire from the 'no' connection to the vehicle loom.
At first it would only work if I kept my finger on the button, not ideal as that would lead to a sore finger and probably drain the remote battery in no time.
Then I found out that they need programming. There’s a small button on the circuit board, with 3 options; momentary (standard option – hence having to keep your finger on the button), toggle and latch. I used the latch option, one button on the remote for on, one for off.
This system is ideal for use at close range, if you need to operate the pre-heater whilst sat in an office then you’ll need a gsm system, and good look figuring that out. I used this video to suss it, now I need some nice bad weather to try it out for real.

Should be some info on here about this, I a Vellman kit on my 53 plate then swap it over to the 08 I have now, just need to connect it to the 3 wire plug right hand side in the rear.

If it's a rear wheel drive Transit like mine, it will have almost zero traction on snow.

Its a 2007 lwb high top rwd 100hp, manual windows no heated screen no comforts at all,
As much as id rather be in my RR id rather nothing bad happend too it again aswell iv got quite a few of those il come back too it jobbys to do,
