The screen is so far over to the passenger side that the vin number is partially obscured.

Even went as far to tape mine up so a neighbours cat or something didn’t move the alignment. Wasnt hard either the guys got no excuse.

Just had a thought...but I'll probably forget on the day :vb-groan2: .
When the screen is out, I should be able to fit the rubber dash to internal windscreen strip back properly. Found it impossible otherwise. Think it's originally glued on to the dash lip, can't see how it stays put otherwise.

Just got off the phone to autoglass warranty department. They have added the badly fitted windscreen complaint on to the falling off top trim complaint from last Tuesday.
3 to 5 working days for a response or the fix, not sure which.
Given my experience it will be a couple of weeks for a response then a couple of months for a fix.. but they will do it wrong so.. rinse.. repeat...

Took seat back out to get to heated seat blower. What a pig of a job that is! Painted the steering wheel with leather paint, that should buff up nicely. And tried to replace the passenger wing mirror glass but…failed (just started a new thread)

That was your rain sensor thing though wasn't it? All they have to do on my p38 is remove the glass and stick it back correctly. I'll do the rest. Can't feck that up Shirley....
Only had 4 things in my whole life done by other people and non of them were done properly or they ripped me off. Getting sick of it now.

There was never any problem with the sensor, the non OEM glass was wrong spec so sensor didn't work - I'm not the only l322 that's needed a new screen so it shouldn't take 12 months to replace the screen. I had to wait weeks/months between each phone call. The customer was crap and they told me lies upon lies (or they were even more incompetent than i give them credit for)

That's a disgrace. I know it's too late now as you've fixed it, but I would have been contacting their operations manager. As it stands send those images to them and demand a refund. When they refuse take it to https://www.themotorombudsman.org/consumers/make-a-complaint . In the meantime get on every review forum and warn people.

I haven't fixed it, photos are from today. Insurance covered the replacement except for £115 excess. I'll give them the 5 working days then escalate it.

That's fine unless the thermistor in the Peltier unit has gone open circuit, if it has, then you need a new Peltier. There used to be a guy in Ukraine selling them on Fleabay, he imported them from China so chances are you can probably find them on Alibaba express.

One of the reasons i chose an l322 without climate seats, less to break/easier to fix with standard heating elements

I never got rid of the l322 19" wheels that were fitted to my p38.. considering putting a set of summer tyres on them and keeping my currently fitted all terrains for winter...
I know it's more expense but it spreads the cost and keeps tread on the winter capable tyres..

Thoughts?
