How long for your heater to warm up...

You should also check and bleed the coolant regularly, filling it with the reservoir raised and continually squeezing the top rad hose as well.

New airspring but now dropping both sides

Hi , just recently fitted a passenger side Dunlop airspring as the car had been dropping fully (periodically) on that side. The old spring was 4-5 years old. After replacing this it inflated properly ,but now I notice that both sides start to drop slowly after a couple of days ...If I start it...

    ACE system!

Hi, As somebody who has had two different fluid leaks which resulted in costly breakdowns ,I decided to replace the ACE and have never looked back. I did this myself for about €400 I now have a more reliable car and the handling is not much different .Replacing/repairing the ACE is a...

    diff or not?

Did you determine if the nose was coming from the front or the back as if it's a diff it could have varying different noises when going up or down hill under load etc as I had experienced . I had a noise which I thought was coming from around the transfer box ,and earlier thought it might have...

    Discovery 2 rear air suspension.

might be no harm giving the ride height sensors a good look over too,as they don't last forever.I've seen recommendations that they should be changed every 5 years or so,will keep you out of trouble in the long run.

    ACE removal

If you are going ahead with this ACE conversion,as I did and never looked back and don't notice a big difference in handling make sure you order the correct rear ARB as there are I believe 3 different types, depending if you have rear coil springs or airsprings

    3 amigos any ideas

Thanks Sierrafery, but I didn't remove any of the sensors but was working quite close doing the disk&break changes . I will check out for dirt and debris though...And great info on the Nanocom Locator as we have a cottage not too far from Fermanagh. I'll be taking a trip up there soon so will...

    3 amigos any ideas

My 2003 td5 with 102k on the clock has started to intermittently light up the 3 amigos. I can drive around for a bit like today and they never came on whereas a few days ago they came on 3 times in 1 day over a short period. They will then go out when I switch off the engine. First question ...

Stuck front sunroof ,how to open?

Thanks Erazmus/guys,good instruction & detail above ,will certainly go at this again when I know the weather might remain dry for a bit and you're dead right I need to tackle the leak(s) first as this is what probably caused the problem in the first place

ACE-SLS removal help on 7 seater

Hi Steve911, I've converted ACE to "standard" or DE-ACED as it's also known .I left my airbags in and bought new ARB's and droplinks ,the front ARB being the standard ARB and the rear is specifically for SLS models but was not available from the usual suppliers and after searching high up and...

Disco 2 TD5 Jammed Tailgate lock

My rear door lock stuck several times last winter and did as you did ,took off card as I couldn't open from the key or the inside lever but the reason was the lever on the outside needed loosening up with some silicon oil and a straw ,then operating it many times I freed it up and it opened..I...

    ACE Pipes

I've read in earlier threads it's not an MOT failure, however I've also read other threads which mentioned the leaking fluid caught fire so those MOT guys probably should fail it for leaks from a safety p.o.v....but don't appear to.. Removing the old seals was a nightmare for me..hence I am now...

    Bleeding ACE rear system

I eventually removed ACE functionality due to losing my patience and working in the dark on the block I damaged it while removing one of the seals....believe me I found it very difficult to remove the seals as they were almost welded in ..but when the M.D. tells you they would charge huge bucks...

    TD5 Suspension

I would agree about the keeping the bags now that Paddocks are doing a Dunlop airspring for about £63 and changing them along with the sensors every five years or so is no big deal. I had one go on me about 4 years ago and actually saw the guy change it in 15 minutes and charged me about €250...

Another issue with my disco 2

Would there be any chance that one or more of the ACE pipes have been left in situ as the front pipes are connected to the actuator around the area under the battery .I removed my ACE but left the pipes there and tied up the open ports with rubber glove fingers and still managed to get some...
