It's been a while since I fiddled with my P/S pump... if you remove the pipe, by releasing the flange with two bolts... is there enough meat in the housing to tap threads into?... if so, you could get a local Ag engineer to crimp fit to the end of your hose a fitting that could screw directly...

Just out of interest... reviving an old thread here.... why does the wastegate stick, what is building up in there to gum it up? As mine stands for a week or two between uses it tends to have picked up the sticky bug... and for 'walletary' reasons I tend to be light on the right foot.

Yes warm water with degreaser... several flushes... then several flushes with plain water... followed by 15 mins on the blow side of the vacuum cleaner.

I managed to get an abused performance intercooler of the Bay, had it repaired, and got around to fitting it last weekend. Found this sludge on the outlet side on the intercooler... inlet side was just a bit of oil - as usual. I had flushed it out over a year ago - could it be a bit of moisture...

I've tried 2 stroke oil, but now use Millers... when I remember... definitely makes a difference IMHO

I got the fear about how easy it is to push in the rear windows and open the rear door, so before we head over to France I chanced a set of rear window guards on Ebay and fitted them this weekend... not sure what make they are but they were easy to fit, and after a quick paint job looked quite...

I need to update here too. I finally got around to buying a lead blanket from Noisekiller, and fitted it this weekend... went for a trundle and can definitely hear an improvement. I could hear the fan on its lowest setting, and even the swish of the tyres on the road with the window open... not...

I found it hard to get my grease gun on to the front UJ nearest the gearbox, so brought a needle attachment for the grease gun... so much easier now, you have to get square on with a bit of pressure to keep a seal as the needle locates into the 'eye' of the grease nipple, and you pump in grease...

I found warming the gasket in a sink of hot water helped. ... also paid a bit more attention to locating the bolts, as I think previously I had not got them through the holes in the gasket, so when torqued up the seal wasn't fully achieved = oily engine!

Thanks for the reassurance... rather glad I don't need to hack away at my shiny new bits. I will see if I can coax the brake line away, as it is quite a sharp edge... I think it may have already seen a bit of action, as it doesn't sit in its clips like it should!
