    Issues with Galvanised Chassis

Tetroseal will not adhere to the Galv properly. You need to "prep" the Galv surface to allow ANY type of paint, underseal etc etc to properly stick to it. 1. A good pressure wash with some detergent to remove and greasy residue. 2. Dry 3. Mordant Solution is the normal choice 4. Wash again 5...

    15" x 8 wheels

As title. I am after a set of 4 - 15x8" Rims. Not fussy about condition as long as they aren't rusted out and are good to use. Can take with Tyre's but don't need them.

    Prop shaft UJ Failure

After this near miss of complete failure of my UJ. I think I caught it just in time before complete catastrophic failure and a wild flinging propshaft ripping through the under side of my landy!! I have stripped the front prop down and realised that this failure could be due to...

    Diff lock stuck?

If it hasnt been used in a while they can be bloody tight!!! Try leaning in from the passenger door and properly pulling on it. If still no luck a lubricant on all the linkages and try again. If it still wont budge the linkage may need adjusting, there are threads around on how to do this.

    Uneven tyre wear

Ok, Is there an easy way to check tracking without going to garage? Hopefully Axle isnt bent havnt done anything stupid recently to cause that!! Bushes all seem ok, Bearings could probably do with replacing but I don't think that could causes such difference in wear.

    Uneven tyre wear

What can cause drastically uneven wear on front tyres of my Defender? I have BFG MT's, the outside edge has 10mm+ and the inside is under 5mm. So there is over 5mm over difference between the inner and outter edges. What can cause this. I notice my wheel bearings seemed a little loose so i...

    Steel Wheel's and AT's

As they will be used 90% of the time, I will still need a decent amount of offroad capability. It gets used alot for hauling logs and wood and heavy towing across fields so I need the peace of mind. I will just be sticking the MT's on when I go to PnP or on a specific greenlane trip. I think...

How to test electric window switch and motor?

Looks like a dodgey connection. Or possibly a brake in the cable loom as it passes through the rubber gator where the door hinges. Crack out the multi meter and start testing things.
