Pipe now changed, took my neighbour who is a mechanic about 20 mins bless him:clap2: The metal pipe had a slot worn in it which I'm guessing sort of sealed it against the sump until I gave it a waggle. Thanks to all for help on this. Y

Mine don't work either, checked the fuse all ok. Can't hear the pump running though so probably dead. Rear one also not working fuse also ok but no pump sound.:(

Went out this morning, no steering and large puddle of fluid next to driver's side front wheel. Reservoir is nearly empty although I haven't driven it since Saturday. Any suggestions why the fluid is laying on that side and not under the hose? Cheers Y

Thanks again guys. Had another good look this morning and the longer of the two rubber hoses is definitely rubbing on the edge of the sump as there is a shiny patch on the metal behind it. Couldn't see if that is where the fluid is coming from but more fluid has leaked (drove about 5 miles)...

So am I going to lose coolant to do the pump?

Cheers, now had a good look and there was a lot of PAS fluid lying under the pump on the various bits down there,felt round the connection but that was dry so guessing it will be the pump itself? If it is what do I need to buy besides the pump and some more very expensive LR fluid? Cheers, Y

Cheers guys, if it is the box seal then I guess the box has to come out? If so would be easier just to buy a new box. Will have a look today to see if I can find the leak. I have bought a tube of the Wynns stuff but reluctant to try it in case it buggers something else up.

Oh well, mystery solved. Went to work Wednesday and whine didn't go away, checked fluid level and well below minimum so I have a leak. Had already ordered some new LR fluid so topped up to max again Thursday morning, slight whine for a couple of miles and then gone. Still the same today...
