Cable easy to disconect from the lever and with a bit of a yank, pull the rubber gromit end thingy out of the hole, doing so via the panel below the drivers seat. Witha blob of grease...

MOT is comming up very soon and I now have a quick release tow bar fitted.
Not towed anything yet and havent got round to checking the electrics.
Can anyon tell me, If I take it in without the drop tow ball fitted, I don't need tow electrics????? Makes sence to me:) They don't know...

Well, as full signed up member of the Lazy Bastid society, I have managed to put off fitting my new handbrake cable for nearly a year. It has become a long term piece of shelf ornamentation :D
Now with MOT looming, it's got to be done.:o

I have a tatty alloy with a much worn tyre on the back, under a wheel cover. I though no point spending on a modular steel and BFG just to have it hang of the rear door and wait to get nicked.
It's would only be a short use temporary anyway!:)

I'm getting peed off with all my exessory sockets and extensions, so was thinking about fitting say three of these in the space in the pannel next to the original cigarette lighter (replacing this as well).
Any thoughts/tips? Thought I would just splice the existing fag lighter...

Through France to Switzerland than back through Germany, Lux and Belgium. Some 2000 miles i think. Non stop on way there and three days on the way back.
So, doing this in a Defender is, A) Stupid, B) Expensive C) Should be a laugh or D) all of the above...
