I already have the shortened turrets and castor corrected radius arms along with carden prop. The only reason ive stayed with +2" is that ive been using it a fair bit this summer on some longer journeys on country roads and wanted to keep a bit of driveability, this winter however it may be...

No, pre-having dislocating cones its a case of jacking it up and re-locating it yourself, post having dislocating cones no jacking required! Its not a case of driving carefully, i drive carefully but certain obstacals require the axle to drop down and the spring to dislocate therefore...

REDHAND - Why are you suggesting he would not need cones? Perhaps not at the front, but at the rear if he's doing any seriousish offroading he almost definately will. I only have a +2" lift and am glad i have dislocating cones!! Tom

    Two car insurance.

Dealers and garages etc have block insurance, covers all and any car they have in for work or sale. All employees are covered to drive any vehicle and any prospective buyer is also covered to drive vehicles with garages permission. They do it this way otherwise they'd be constantly phoning the...

    oil catch tank?

i used to have one fitted to my rs turbo and cosworth, very effective piece of kit, far better than any OE engine breathing equiptment and will in no way adversely affect performance or working of the engine. Have a look at someone like Bailey's alu equipment or go onto Rally designs...

    Bad Vibrations!!!

UJ's all fine both new props and handbrake is currently defunkt due to leaking oil seals so i can rule that out.

    Bad Vibrations!!!

On way back from a job today my '94 300tdi deepender start violently vibrating to the point where i couldn't drive over 30mph. Trying to accelerate it felt as though something was binding and low revs were the only way to drive. Pulled over to have a look and couldn't see anything, none of the...

    2" Lower HD Shock Mounts

Just got a pair of 2" lower HD front shock mounts, fitted them no probs. But it now looks as though there isn't much compressive travel for the shocker, I've got pro comps fitted and by the looks of things theres only about 3" max compression available now. Ive been out onto our farm and had a...

    starting problem

It'll fire once, then turn over for a good 10-20 seconds before firing properly, it usually takes a few pumps of the throttle to even encourage it to start!!!
