lift kit advise on 2001 d2

I did the second kit you list, with the plus 3 prosport shocks, but with the HD springs. Very pleased with it and very pleased not to have air to worry about. Gave me about 2.5 inches lift. It's a little harsh on small bumps, rumbles, rough surfaces but perfect on bigger stuff and offroad.

To spring or not to spring?

Definitely s good idea to go with preventative maintenance. Easy to swop too. Then you can keep the existing ones as get you home spares.

    Front Springs replacement

Don't forget they're handed, so you need the correct one for drivers side and the correct one for the passenger side

To spring or not to spring?

Originally all seven seaters had air, but later LR got type approval for coils. So you can buy coils specifically for seven seaters.

    10x15 -32 on TD5??

Well the standard offset is about +57 I think, so fitting -32 wheels will effectively space them out by 89mm . . that's quite a lot. This D2 is running 15x10 -32 offset wheels with 35" rubber and 75mm arches to give you an idea

To spring or not to spring?

Best thing I did was move to coils. No more hassles from one part of it at least! But, I don't tow or have a lot of people in the back so didn't get the full advantage of air anyway. Lots will argue either side of this, but it comes down to how to use your D2 in my book as to whether it's...

    Safe to wash engine.

Done mine a couple of times with no issues, just steer the jetwash away from the fuse box.

    wiper arms

    Yep!!

    wiper arms

I fitted D1 wipers arms for the same reasons. I find the passenger side spring isn't strong enough and the blade misses parts of the screen. The drivers side is much much better tho.
