Just another spare wheel cover thread!

Mine will fit that. I'll take some pictures and post them - see if your wife likes it.

    Positive Thread....

I spent a lot of 2012 driving up and down the country from the West Midlands to Glasgow and back as a weekly trip covering well over 20,000 miles in that time. The car was superb. That's all :)

Can a Freelander be reliable ????

My 2006 TD4 has covered just over 70,000 miles. I've had it for just over two years without any major problems. Most recently I've replaced the thermostat and the LP fuel pump but otherwise that car has been fault free and only required servicing etc. All in all I'm a happy bunny

Turbo supplier let me down and lied!!!

I'm not being funny mate, but why bother continuing with the purchase if you weren't sure from the off?

    Tyre Pressure

Okay, found the manual. Although it doesn't specifically mention towing it does talk about 44psi in the rears when fully laden.

    Tyre Pressure

I can't find my manual at the moment but I'm pretty certain the tyre pressures in mine are different to yours. For example, I do know that in mine it says the rear pressures when towing go up to 44psi.

Possible VCU problem - South Wales

The VCU is stamped with its type and year like GKN-V 405520 06 369 (mine is a 2006 TD4). Anyway, the point is that if the year of your car and the stamp on the VCU correspond then it's likely it's still the original. This thread might help...

    Fuel tank

Warning light came on at 585 miles. It took just over 60 litres.

    Fuel tank

I have no idea - really. I drive 'normally' which is to say I'm not sitting at 30 in a 40, or 50 in a 70. Accelerate as I was taught - to make progress - although never much above 3500 RPM in the lower gears. Tyres are Michelin Latitude Tour at the correct pressure (for them that is...

What have you done to your Freelander today

Had its MoT test today. Passed. No advisories. Strange really - I'm sure the rear brakes need doing.

    Fuel tank

I'm getting close on 600 at the moment - 595 was the last fill and I'm very pleased with that. Most I got into the tank is 65.3 litres. I think my tank might be expandable :)

    freelander lift diy kit?

Look at it this way Pete... if you'd done all the graft would you be willing to share that info with the first Joe (or Pete) that comes along and just asks for it?

    Rear window top seal

The door seal is one complete part - and it's really tricky to fit properly. It needs body panel sealant along the top and down the sides where the window sits. If you mess it up, your car will leak like a sieve. The plastic trim pieces are called finishers. They're readily available and not...

Retrofit Cruise Control Not Quite Working

Just out of interest... Why didn't you mount the switch in the blank on the RHS of the dash where it's supposed to go? If you remove the blank you'll most likely find wiring attached to the back of it.

    Road tax up !

Must be the automatic. Mine, a manual TD4, was registered in July 06 and was £280 last year.

TD4 Fuel Problem MIL light comes on

If it's not fuel, it could be the other part of the equation... Air. Check your MAF sensor and air filter.

Good point, well made - I hadn't spotted the OPs location. :(
