What did you do with your Range Rover today

Maybe I'll have a look at that. I need a bigger car for accessibility reasons. The only other car I've owned that was easy access was a Chrysler Voyager. I'm not too worried about 4WD but living in rural Kent with the nearest bus 2 miles away life isn't always easy.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Yes, I'm beginning to think along those lines myself! I'd expect to do brakes and rubber mounts on most vehicles at about 130000 miles unless they've already been done. With the state of today's roads what else can be expected? My state pension and life expectancy are against me upping my...

    L322 2003 L322 Can’t open bonnet -battery flat

Maybe an earth strap connection, engine to chassis. Most engines are rubber mounted and electickery don't go through rubber! But I'd also check that with a meter first to see if that terminal is isolated from the starter motor body.

    L322 gearbox problem 2010 TDV8 Vogue

Quite possibly, that price was including VAT. I've let the seller know of the problem. I had to top up the coolant when I got to work this evening, about a teacup full! I've been told the oil cooler is hidden under a ,load of other stuff that has to be removed first. But I'm hopeless with these...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

My latest purchase throwing up "low coolant" warning. My indie garage report shows coolant leak from bell housing area and oil in coolant, suspect oil cooler needs replacing. A job for the seller to sort out. Pity because the car drives really nicely.

    L322 2003 L322 Can’t open bonnet -battery flat

With + on the starter terminal and - on the chassis/block you should be able to turn the ignition on and open the bonnet.

Missing infotainment system in Vogue 2010 TDV8 facelift version

Not o happy, the dealer failed to supply another car, then said he was comping to ollect the errant car and give a refud. Waited in all day, nothing, not a word. That was 2 weeks ago. He got a signed-for letter today with a Trading Standards reference number. To my surprise he answered his phone...

    Tdv8 problem

I had similar on my TDV8, 08 reg, bad earth between engine and chassis. Got a few other bits done (£2000 worth), kept getting gears/engine going into limited performance mode; on a garage test run the engine seized. Be careful...What engine has yours got?

What did you do with your Range Rover today

the old battery is Land Rover 12v 90 Ah. 850A (EN) AGM/VRLA/MF CPLA-10655-CA made by Exide. Suppllied with the car when my partner got it 10 years ago, so it's not done bad. Not sure what the replacement is, will have to look in daylight tomorrow.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

OK will do, i'll have a look at the old battery tomorrow. there's no adblue on the disco, it's euro 5, not ulez compliant. I'm not sure what's in my "new" 4.4, I haven't looked that far yet but have found the heated front screen isn't. Edited to add having done a quick internet research on the...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

The battery has gone in the Disco 4. I'll check with the manual, thanks. The 60 reg Vogue "seems" to be ok except theheated front screen doesn't seem to be heated, Ic an't see any wiggly wires in it. But if that's the only problem I'll be a happy bunny. It came with a new tow ball and twin...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

The battery was sold to me by my local motor factor as being suitable for the TDV8 Vogue that I had. i'll check with them on Monday. It has the start/stop capability as it's higher Ah. The lower Ah that the Vogue previously has wasn't quite man enough for the car. I got that battery in Februry...

Luton Airport Fire Report Blames 3 Litre Diesel Range Rover

My partner witnessed a single deck bus self-ignite a couple of years ago. the blaze was caused by the main battery leads chaffing through their insulation where they passed through the rear wheel arch just forward of the engine bay. That in turn spread to adjacent hydraulic lines which had a...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

What's an AGM battery? It came out of my 08 Vogue. 95a/hr. How to reset the BMS? the car seems to start and stop as it should, no faults on the screen.

63 reg Disco TDV6 268bhp auto commercial, battery light on

Problem solved I think. Partner reported engine difficult to start, clicking sound. so we done another drop test, battery volts 12.4, dropping to just under 12 v with the drop tester in circuit, going just into the red. Luckily we had a spare battery that I got in February for my 08 Vogue that...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

What I did with mine yesterday, discovered the bonnet struts didn't keep the bonnet up. Wah! Luckily the other car that's awaiting collection from the dealer is still here and appears to have a new pair, about the only bit on that car that is worth keeping so changed them over, job done. Changed...
