Get yourself a brake pipe flaring tool a coil of copper brake pipe and do the job yourself pretty easy to do.

I think you mean the fuel tank cradle. If its rusty and starting to rot do your best to clean it up and re paint it with hammerite. If it gets to bad it's an MOT failure. Or it could be the underside of the security box which is in the floor of the boot.

Can't you just replace the strap ??? Ae they not just bolted on to the step.
