The Harmon Kardon Alpine head unit does indeed have two ariels,one is smaller than the standard type I think,I temporaliy fitted a normal head unit in mine using just one ariel wire and it worked fine but I think the antenna booster has to be fed with the electric ariel feed on the head unit to work

I wouldn't do the mod untill you have had it plugged in to check what codes are present,why fix what isn't broken,I've had those amigo's twice now on mine and both times it was a hub that was faulty

It'll do better mpg on road tyres,my 4.0 is a manual and does around 20-22 mpg on a run and 17-18 around the houses down here in cornwall,bog standard with no roof rack etc,235/70x16 michelin road orientated tyres

If you have the old mot take it with you and hand it to the tester,often they will take the vin number off the old ticket as they can't be assed to check it

try jacking the back up part way to see if it kicks in,you did have all of the doors shut?

Was the battery disconnected before the height sensor was changed,if not it may need hawkeye or similar to reset it
