    Battery health testing

Them modern testers do not stress the battery like the old style drop testers. You could always chuck it back on the car for a day or two, with the new one in the boot just in case.

    Battery health testing

How long did you leave the battery after charging before testing? I bet when it is loaded up it will read low SOH again. I have an ebay cheapy I use at work, pretty accurate.

Discovery 4 Diesel Won’t Accelerate – Oil Found in Cylinders”

I have a d3 and they are pretty much worthless, and the early d4s are headed the same way, shame as both are nice useful cars. Like all older land rovers, to run one you need to be rich or a mechanic!

Discovery 4 Diesel Won’t Accelerate – Oil Found in Cylinders”

Few videos on youtube or the internet, all start, all sound terrible. Spend some time doing a bit of googling and you will see it is quite an issue on the 3.0.

    DPF Claim

300 to 500k on the Scania trucks The Daf truck dpfs are longer lasting, but it is the only bit of the Daf trucks that lasts longer, if lucky 650/750k out of a dpf. In the ops case it sounds like their dpf is fine, it is blocking up as it is not looking after itself.

Early 110 LED headlight remaining on

I think early cars had no relay, and all the power went through the light switch on the column?

Luton Airport Fire Report Blames 3 Litre Diesel Range Rover

Nsf of of the car might have be the fbh feed pipe split, reported a few times on the d3forum as a few d3 caught fire. One of the reasons I replaced the short piece of rubber hose, old one was rock hard and splitting, it is right above the fbh exhaust pipe.

Handbreak Stuck on / Battery Smoking

Poor earth leads are a common land rover theme. Ideally you want an earth lead from battery negative to the chassis, then anoiher earth lead from the battery negative to the engine block near the starter. Any winches should also have their own dedicated power and earth cable direct to the...

    Electrical - starting fault/issue (seeking help/advice) - 1996 Defender 110 300TDI

I think there is some confusion, I thought the relay is for the starter solenoid, and not the stop solenoid?

    Should I buy?

Look like a S2a bulkhead and dash set up? If the price is as you say good, then buy it and have some fun.

    Electrical - starting fault/issue (seeking help/advice) - 1996 Defender 110 300TDI

I wonder if the relay is for the starter solenoid? on the older models it was directly fed from the ignition switch. If that is the case there are a few different amp versions of relays, so maybe your fix is as simple as the correctly rated version?
