Regarding tree or rock sliders, the tree sliders with the tubular part sticking out acts a small step which is handy. Or you could get the rock sliders and weld your own "steps" on to them.

Do you mean that when you lock the front doors the rear remains unlocked and when you unlock the front it locks the rear? If so, it sounds more like the wiring to the rear lock solenoid is at fault.

With or without ABS and what's the last two letters and six numbers in the chassis number?
