    110 rear brake conversion

I have taken my disc braked salisbury axle off my 110 as it restricted ground clearance to much, i have fitted a 300 disco axle to mine and all it required was the spring seats swapping and a 30mm spacer making for the prop shaft. So far it has done over 10,000 miles towing a 3.5 ton...

New member, should keep out of the stolen Land Rover section...to avoid paranoia...

disclok does not require the steering lock to be opertional, cluch claw is a good one to have aswell, locking your landy to a fixed post is good - but a Landy in low box will soon move whatever it is chained to

    Salisbury axle into Disco

it might fit with your +20mm arms - i have a disco axle under my 110 cos i got fed up with the salisbury forever grounding out - i had a 30mm spacer made up to use std prop and to leave enough still on the slider for axle movement

    Snatching Steering

check your rear axle bushes first as my 110 suffered with the same steering pull as you have - they where shot, the lockers will only work when 1 road wheel looses traction on that axle. If it was locked all the time you would have badly scrubbed tyres within no time and not be able to steer much

    TD4 remap

even the tow bar has to be an official Land Rover one, anything within microcat for LR fitment is allowed but no after market items. Not to say that it is not done down here is incorrect , all test stations are government run but they are staffed by non mechanics, so if you have a family member...

    TD4 remap

it would seem that the UK is catching up with us here, not allowed any modifications at all here - if it is not on the original homologation sheet it is not allowed - even down to tyre size has to be the same as when it left factory

    Calling International Rescue

Lee thr r380 box will not fit onto your existing set up as the 300 engine sits further forard in the engine bay (was done so that only one box was required for disco or def fitment), so you are needing to replace with a Def lt77

    Turbo Failure

If you have oil coming out of your wading plug holes i would suggest that the main bearings are worn or your oil pressure relief valve has stuck open and is allowing the pump to produce to much oil pressure. Turbo impellor shafts do have play in them as they run on a constant film of oil, but if...

    What do you think?

welcome to the club, we have started a Land Rover business here in Portugal - not the most cash rich country to do it in but hey ho. We got the concept of the business quite wrong at first, thinking that we could just act as a mail order/ sales outlet, but we now find that the workshop is where...
