SORN'd her, then discovered a flat offside front tyre, and a matching flat battery. Sod all I can do about the tyre right now, but I hooked up my trickle charger to the battery. Unfortunately there wasn't enough charge left to engage the charging circuit, so I hooked up another one too. Still...

Mine was held together with some type of clip at the base of the seat cover. Pull those apart careful and you can slide the cover up and off. There are loads of YouTube car seat refurb videos which show how it's done.

I did this on my front passenger seat a couple of years ago. Undo the seat back cover and you'll find the wire has popped out of the retaining bracket in the handle. Quite an easy fix if I remember rightly. If I can do it, anyone can!

Definitely no mayo on the dipstick. Check the oil in her regularly, so would have seen it by now.

I changed the inlet manifold a few weeks ago, adding a new inlet manifold gasket when I refitted it. The manifold itself was brand new. I don't know where the leak is yet. I need to jack her up as I can't see a leak from the top. How do I know if the liners are in spec?

I was topping up coolant and oil just now and saw a tiny smear of mayo in the oil cap. Can I do something now to mitigate hgf, or is it fecked? I definitely can't afford to get the head skimmed. Can I get away in the short term with just replacing the gasket itself?

Well I still dont know what the plug hanging down from behind the glovebox is, but after removing the glovebox itself, I found a retaining clip behind it on the A post. I clipped it back up and its now not hanging down into the passenger footwell as its done for the 11 years I've owned her...

Just discovered the glovebox has a light in it, so reconnected the cables to the terminals, and hey presto, a 2.5" illuminated box! Now if only I knew what was wrong with the hazard switch led... Originally I didn't think it lit up, as it never did in 9 years of driving her, but then...
