    Series 3 Hood.

iirc the canvas new Zealand rug I had for me orse back in the day was similar to a landy tilt in thickness etc so I would guess an outfit that repairs equestrian rugs should have no problem.

Series 3 What is the best turbo to fit to my 1980 2.25 diesel Engine

indeed some more grunt on hills would be useful. had an early 110 diesel years ago, had 6 people in the front 2 rows and the very back full of suitcases - might have had some on the rack too - boy did it struggle on the hills :D

Series 3 What is the best turbo to fit to my 1980 2.25 diesel Engine

hmm that fuel pump thing sounds worth a try, I can get 65 out of my 2.286 diesel on standard, diffs 7.50's and overdrive but 55 is enough for me in a series, if I want to go fast I choose a different vehicle.

is the paddocks stuff enamel or cellulose? recently sprayed my 3 in a grey cellulose, surprising how much thinner you get through cleaning the gun etc. for a hardtop - with side windows - I used c10 litres of paint and 10 litres of gloss thinner via a spray gun inside and out plus 5 wheels...

    Slow diesel road test

makes you wonder why they bothered that isn't much more bhp than the standard petrol is it? I suppose the higher top end is some form of bonus but I would chug along at under 70 on the motorway anyway

    Slow diesel road test

surprised by the stage 1 v8 0-60 at 27.1 secs doesn't seem very good at all for a much bigger engine

    insurance

about the age you are now but a couple of years ago, she pays less now due to ncd. quote was about the same for my eldest at that age for the series but he wanted more power and turned the landy down. seems to me there is some luck and timing with insurance, depends who has capacity at the...

the offending item :D. one thing I always initially forget is that you can use a 7 or 8mm socket on jubilee clips instead of a screwdriver

    Series 3 more series fun

thanks I shall look into that, so far I have just turned the idle screw in a bit more which seems to have cured it but for how long ……….. just cut the end off the rad hose so it is probably fractionally too short but it is on and holding. didn't have a piece of hose with a small enough id in...

    Series 3 more series fun

major disaster around 18 miles out circa 6 pm, top rad hose split along the thermostat end jubilee clip and all the water disappeared as demonstrated by sudden over heating :( managed to fix it by swapping the hose round so the split was at the rad end and covered by the jubilee clip and...

    insurance

you are too young to get a classic policy iirc they usually have 25 as a min age. classic is usually used for second cars too and doesn't usually attract a no claims discount which wouldn't be much use to someone starting out, I imagine you would want to start building up your no claims try...
