    there are some heat insulation foams in aerosol that you could spray on the fuel lines to prevent heat loss, especially under the car. don't know how it is with your MOT rules but might be worth investigating...

    even if that is not the problem bypass the EGR anyway, how are the air and fuel filters? might also check fuel pump, but I'm not so comfortable 'round Td4s

    hardest part is cutting the grey bumper and making a patch from the cut-out part to fit the hole, then melting the plastic so it sticks and has no cracks and stays flat. at the end it loses it's texture in that area. all pictures of my DIY's are on my photobucket account, it's public...

    I'm glad to see some brainstorming round here, for commercial purpose or not, it's always good to see more/new solutions become reality, at the end someone may/may not produce it; somebody might buy it, someone else might fabricate it's own version of it. hope it works out and place pictures
