my disco has abs, aircond, cruise control ...and is even an auto...!!! gave it 2" lift front & 4" lift rear, plus lots of other add-ons....and is used 30% on tarmac & 70% offroad (RTV trials, green lanes, pay & plays). No major issues so far.......!!!! There's no stopping you using the vehicle...

If it has to be an auto, go with Disco 2 with td5 engine. I'm telling you this as I have a 300tdi auto. Reasons are: - td5 auto is more powerful to a disco 1 auto. (stock vs stock or tweeked 200/300tdi vs remapped td5) - disco 2 also has a slightly longer boot space, hence slightly more room...
