    how much to sell for

I can't afford to join in the bidding so I'll just say that I'd love to have that tucked away at the back of my garage for ten years or so.

    Dodgy odometer display

I've never seen dead pixels looking like that. It looks more as someone has been poking it with a pen. I'd have to strip that down and investigate.

    salisbury brake drum removal.

Is the drum moving at all, in an off direction? I'm wondering if the shoes are catching on a lip on the drum. If so it could be, with the drum that badly worn, that the shoes aren't centred. If so I'd just get a replacement drum (and probably another for the other side) and a bigger hammer and...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Just back from a Sotland trip. Bristol to Perth, then Edinburgh, back to Perth then a straight run back to Bristol. Didn't miss a beat. Don't you just hate these unreliable P38s :D

    orange water

As already said it's a sign of no or very old anti-freeze. The trouble is you don't know where the rust has settled so you'd do well to flush and back flush at least. You might even consider taking the rad out and flushing it upside down, that's where you find the thinnest part of the water...

    Rough/Lump running

I've spent a lot of money with Island. I've got over three hundred quids worth in a box waiting to be fitted. I order from them trusting that they will supply the correct parts for my car. I'll be very interested in the outcome of this.

    Inspection service

Stick around a bit longer and you'll find that it happens all the time. It usually starts somewhere on here but then disappears into PMs when precise details, phone numbers and addresses are exchanged.

    Is the sounder connected?

    Main Beam.

A couple of years back I tried HIDs on the standard wiring and got all sorts of warning lights coming up on the dash. They went into the bin and, following Irishrover's example, I fitted 100watt bulbs. I probably could have got the same light from some of those 'plus' bulbs but the 100watters...

    "Ticking" window

Do not use Vaseline or any other petroleum jelly, they'll rot the rubber. A little rubber grease or silicone on the rubber might help. A bit of serious glass cleaning might help with Nilglass, T-cut or it's specialist glass equivalent. Essentially it's not the glass catching on the rubber...

    EAS Cable, where to get?

+1 Cheaper than ebay, every one tested and you get a copy of RAVE on the disc.

    gearbox temp error

You could disconnect it. If you still get the fault then your issue is in the wiring (I'm not mentioning BECM) if the fault doesn't re-appear then you know that it's the sensor. Unless you've cured it by poking around - you can always hope.

3.9 EFI Auto won't get above second gear

I'm assuming it's an auto. In which case, as Freelance said, a check on the amount and quality of the ATF is where I'd start. It's possibly never been changed so new fluid, a new filter, a bottle of Lucas, crossed fingers and some driving could hopefully be a cheap remedy.

    gearbox temp error

First stop would therefore be the sensor. It's attached to the cooler rad.

    gearbox temp error

Is it definitely an overheat message? I've got a weird fault on mine that causes the engine to cut out going down a left/right turning hill. The fault that comes up is gearbox but I'm now convinced that it's the gearbox being turned by the engine without the gearbox pump running.
