Freelander 1 I need a pair of these - anyone know the name of them or part number / reseller? [SOLVED]

@B34R - It is a late 53 plate - literally (according to LR) one of the very last "pre-facelift" models. I'm going to leave the plastics off.... with the amount of work I'm doing it will be better. New engine going in this weekend - but new IRD Cooler being fitted too. Thanks for the Link.... it...

Freelander 1 I need a pair of these - anyone know the name of them or part number / reseller? [SOLVED]

Yeah... I know they shouldnt have been separated...... yet another fracking thing to sort out.. I guess I will leave them off, unless i go to a breakers yard an "borrow" a pair! - yes.. the worse oil change ever - although the 59 plate RR Sport isn't fun to do either!

Freelander 1 I need a pair of these - anyone know the name of them or part number / reseller? [SOLVED]

Yes... I'm asking for P/N's again. Anyone any idea where I can get a good pair of these? it's the little plastic bit that fastens from the bumper to the alloy sump guard... as pictured. I also need the clips / fasteners for them too. Please - No Trolls as I find their unhelpful messages worthy...

    Freelander 1 Sawtoothing

in addition to checking for movement on your front wishbone rear bush, check your suspension legs thoroughly. check the top and bottom coil on each spring - make sure the end of the spring is "cut straight" and not broken off. also.... when driving - when it is safe to - see what happens when...

Freelander 1 Moving the car without drive shafts installed

If you have the facilities, I highly recommend dropping the engine and box (including the IRD). When I took my lump out. It gave me easy access to replace additional items such as brake lines etc.

Freelander 1 Moving the car without drive shafts installed

Good question...... don't forget the outer CV joint and associated hub nut hold the wheel bearing in place and together. Personally speaking.... I wouldn't move the car more than half a revolution of a wheel without the driveshafts in. But...... The wheel bearing could still collapse... My...

Freelander 1 Buying parts. Any recommendations on getting quality?

@B34R Agree completely with you.. ironically.... both brand names I wanted to mention, but didn't feel confident in sharing. they may as well make their replacement parts out of modelling clay.

Freelander 1 Time to spend on repairs - how frugal can I be?

I know I'm going to be shot down in flames... but.... eBay items - especially the cheap ones are only any good to get the car through an MOT ready to sell on. i've bought loads of cheap NEW eBay parts for many different types of car, but the general rule of thumb is - "if you get 10 to 12 months...

Guys, I'm buying a low mileage td4 engine from a Rover CDTI 2002 Auto. Other than stripping off the torque converter etc. to fit my dual mass flywheel. are there any other gotchas to be aware of? I know my turbo has to be swapped over... but is there anything else? I'm taking the full lump...
