    Embarrassment

Yes, twice in the first month on the road (fuel gauge not working). First time in a Sainsbury's carpark on a hot and sunny, late Sunday afternoon. Second time on a very wet and miserable afternoon on the out-laws steep driveway with wife and little one onboard. I'll park on the street from now on.

    Fuel pump issues Series 3

I bought an aftermarket one (bearmach I think but definitely not BP), seems to work ok but drops the fuel if parked up for any time. Any ideas?

Have you ever fitted a Boomslang harness to a Series??

I fitted one of these to my S3. As has been said, the ceramic plugs need dismantling to get through the bowls (auto correct tried to say bowel ). I don't recall having to extend any wiring. Works well with new bowls, lamps and H4 bulbs. You can now, almost, see where you are going. :D

A Few Pictures From Amberley Classic Land Rovers Oct 14 2018

Gutted to have missed amberley, it had been in the diary all summer. My weekend sort of fell apart trying to get the roof back on after the lovely summer and we weren't going to head out with that forecast and no roof!

    Agreed value insurance

I got mine at £12.5k and it's not as tidy as yours. I'd be going higher if I were you.

Mini restoration of my 75 Series 3

Nice seat covers. I've been looking for a recover kit to do 2 defender seats I've reclaimed but no one has that pattern anymore. Where did you get yours?

1975 series 3 rebuild ongoing (lots of photos)

I put a new starter on mine (2.25p) and it was like a whole new engine! Good luck with yours. Fyi, having rebuilt my SWB and got it back on the road, I've broken down twice so you're about on par :D Shame your not down south, it would be great to have a fellow series to bimble round with :)

    Which Electronic ignition?

I put a Lucas copy BBC distrutor with the electronic kit inside to replace the original Duc distrib. Also replaced leads and coil to the correct type, and new plugs. Less than a hundred quid and it's made starting easier and requires no chock in this weather, also much smoother revs through the...

    What’s this wire?

    Mo Same as this.

    Series 3 Leaky roof

I've just had a poke about for an hour or so. The old sealant is pretty hard to get out so racking out the lil (which I appreciate is the preferred option) is going to take quite a while. There are only a handful of places where it's clearly shot, so I'm thinking dig them out, do a proper reseal...

I bungee cord mine to the spare in the boot, seems to do the job.

Series 1 1953 model in need of love

That interior is certainly 'rich with patina'. Lovely vehicle.

    SWB forward facing rear seats

I'm after forward facing rear seats for my SWB for the same reason. Currently little ones chair goes in the middle front, but her legs are starting to get too long! I have seen the fold down rears with lap belts attached which I assume must by MOT-compliant (and no worse than the existing...
