I had a rover 45 L series which did around 60mpg, it's the reason I got a freelander with an L series! I love that engine!! :)

mine is called "Freda" because its along the lines of freelander (well we think so!)

well Ive done a bit of messing with the fuel pump and now I get around 44mpg. Is that good? Before I messed around with it I was getting about 35-38. What do other people get from their l series?

my dad recons he gets high 30's out of his 1.8! I thought that was good :)

if it is leaking then the water pump is knackered which if not replaced will go on to damage the headgasket. You could take the car to a garage and get a pressure test and/or a sniff test to make sure its ok

are we allowed to wear Christmas jumpers or will that be frowned upon even more than my freelander?? lol :)
