    Thinking about buying a series..

    Do it, buy one ☝️

    Reverse lights.

That’s interesting, cos mine’s one of the last of the production run , was it an optional extra?

    Thinking about buying a series..

Just replaced my leaf springs front n back, hopping along nicely. BTY leaf springs are current standard issue on many vehicles, especially vans and trucks. Couldn’t give TF’s about suspension in isolation.

    Reverse lights.

Series don’t have reverse lights so not bothered either way.

Newbie! SIII - 88"- Station wagon - petrol - RHD

I’m not aware that you could get MB side panels. They look well done.

Newbie! SIII - 88"- Station wagon - petrol - RHD

Welcome. A tidy looking landy. As posted if you want to improve its original specification; the station wagon hard top should be all limestone not just the roof, but your roof is rare ventilation version. The non standard wheels don’t look right. Apart from that, enjoy .

Series 3 Single line brakes or dual line?

Must be a prophetic comment! After passing the MOT the sodding brake cylinders have gone due to excessive brake pumping. As luck would have it I had front repair kit on the garage from 2018.

Series 3 Single line brakes or dual line?

If it’s 77 model it’s single system. Go on Craddocks website and compare the visuals of the components. Dual is very different, post 81 models.

2019 - your classic Landy highlights of the year???

Passed MOT last week and no longer has a sagging bottom. Hoping for some really serious winter weather in the new year.

    Bonnet seal

There’s only one channel underneath the bonnet to direct the water out the side. If it’s coming in around the pedal heights that’s totally different. Are the mud shields still there? The bulkhead is protected by the mud shields and they have bolts though to the lower bulkhead foot wells to...

Series 3 Correct type of air filter

If you wanted to be totally original it’ll take a wee bit of work. As posted go for a Defender type filter on the carburettor. The metal elbow that connects the oil bath type rubber hose onto the carb is now unobtainable anyway. The oil bath is basic but bomb proof for all climates but needs...

Go to YRM for the fixing packs.

About to go dig a Series 1 out of an African bush...what parts should I take?

Is this for real? What a load of bonkers nonsense. If this has any ring of truth just ship it out on a trailer to wherever you are based.

    Any performance to be gained?

FFS !!! What a load of crap. Keep it completely original. Why? Because that why LR designed it. Weber is an acceptable after market upgrade but just keep it standard thereafter. The 2.25L petrol landy engine is a design classic, less is more.
