8 new push rods,cambelt,tensioner,crank & cam shaft oil seal and a waterpump ! Sorted !

First time I've had a belt go on me so I can't complain realy ! One of them things eh !

No better put it in for it's mot just to see and guess what failed on exhaust emissions, it kept stalling and could'nt keep it at 2500rpm ! Checked timing again today all spot on with all the timing marks ! even put it out one tooth both ways on the crank sprocket and still no better ! Wow what...

Looks like the crankshaft oil seal is leaking which has caused a premature rupture of the belt . Bent pushrods but otherwise all looks good !

Yeh ! Expecting bent pushrods ! Like you say could be worse ! There are not a lot of engines about that would take a bust cambelt so lightly ! My waterpump bolts broke last time i did the belt ! Manged to get the timing cover/pump off and then got the bastides out with a monkey wrench on what...

I would start by having a look at your turbo hoses are'nt blocked colasped !

I have had this problem on my 2001 110 TD5, I traced it back to the feed for the yellow fuel pump solonoid shorting where it goes through the bulk head behind the clocks ! Tell tale sign besides blowing the 30amp fuse were the fuel pump was'nt working and the temp gauge shoots up into the red...

Correct !Going around in circles because I can't sort the bloody thing ! Why's it there then ! Could do with it running now as my son's just blown his head gasket again on his horrible 2.4 VM Range Rover !

Cheers! I have tried brake cleaner,WD40,Oil & and a dab of witch **** X 2 times now, checked all electrical conections and WD40 em all ! Bit ****ed off after all the work that's gone in to it that somthing silly and niggly like this is stopping us useing it . I can't see it doing this stalling...

Cheers matey ! that's what I'm doing !luckily I don't need it so am just messing around with it when I've got time and can be bothered . It's not a bad starter until it stalls when warm, then if you leave it say 30 seconds it will start again ! Had it ticking over again for over an hour today...
