What did you do with your Range Rover today

I thought I had RAVE in a hard copy and I have but there is nowt electrical helpy in there. A bit of searching however has turned up a link to the electrical side of things which is obviously an add on to what I've got. Very useful I think, found the heated front screen stuff on there which I'll...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Didn't work, bummer. Revs faltered briefly when switching it on though which is weird, like a heavy load was applied electrically but nowt. I seem to remember that the screen is switched in the becm , rear screen via relays in the engine fuse box. Anybody know which wire or wires need a dmm on...

Just had a downpour so I've checked and all OK, whether rain will get in when I'm doing 140mph down the bypass in my awesome powerful 2.5d is another thing altogether. The screen would probably feck off over the roof.

I haven't fixed it, photos are from today. Insurance covered the replacement except for £115 excess. I'll give them the 5 working days then escalate it.

That was your rain sensor thing though wasn't it? All they have to do on my p38 is remove the glass and stick it back correctly. I'll do the rest. Can't feck that up Shirley.... Only had 4 things in my whole life done by other people and non of them were done properly or they ripped me off...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Just had a thought...but I'll probably forget on the day :vb-groan2: . When the screen is out, I should be able to fit the rubber dash to internal windscreen strip back properly. Found it impossible otherwise. Think it's originally glued on to the dash lip, can't see how it stays put otherwise.

Just got off the phone to autoglass warranty department. They have added the badly fitted windscreen complaint on to the falling off top trim complaint from last Tuesday. 3 to 5 working days for a response or the fix, not sure which.

The screen is so far over to the passenger side that the vin number is partially obscured.

What did you do with your Range Rover today

The trim nearly came off yesterday when I hit 50mph and as I've heard nowt from autoglass I decided to fix it my self this morning. Only 1 clip and the pillar trims were holding it on, the adhesive strip which is supposed to fix the lower edge to the screen wasn't stuck at all. Pic below before...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Just been outside and noticed my new replacement top trim fitted by autoglass is barely attached, the leading edge has a 10mm gap between it and the new screen. Lifting it slightly , I can see the clips on the roof studs are there but not attached to the trim. Can't find a local number to call...

What did you do with your Range Rover today

Took the 38 for its mot, pass no advisorys but did verbally comment on an oil leak which I've never been able to track down. From underneath it's wet around but mainly underneath the steering box. It's engine oil though. I think the turbo is passing a bit on the inlet side or oil from the...

From memory...the holders make contact with exposed parts of the track so clean them? Cotton bud dipped in contact cleaner and rubbing the area might do the trick.

P38A Service Brake right on the MOT limit...

I had a pug 306 many years ago, got it from an auction and the drive home showed the brakes were very poor, hard pedal but poor bite and quite dangerous. Discs and pads were like new, couldn't find anything wrong anywhere. I tried new pads and instantly they were bang on, could stop it on a...

Further to my new screen, I told them I would do all reassembly and took the opportunity to do a resistance reading on both sides for future reference. Just noticed too that the rubber dash to internal windscreen seal isn't seated which will be a bugger to get back in place I believe.
