If they have never been changed before they will certainly be shot by now. 7/8 years life usually. If you don't mind getting eyeballs full of dust and grazed knuckles, quite straightforward to change yourself. Lot of threads on it in here.
Can't understand why lifting on a ramp would lead to loss of air, unless they lifted incorrectly and damaged something. Soapy water spray leak test the pipe joint at the air bag and valve block.
Just finished my rh blend motor, took the usual stuff out to get to it plus hevac panel and head unit, spliced in new motor with plenty of room to work, all good now, cold air again and no book symbol.
Does look a bit like helicoil but I don't think it is. Bloody hope not. Seems like the last few threads around the magnetic rod have sheared off the plug. Should be ok with a new one.
Glad you took advice and lubricated under bolt heads; I was part of an aircraft incident investigation some years back. We used stain gauge washers under the bolt heads and did all sorts of different tests. You wouldn't believe how much variation you get in bolt end load if no under head...
Old thread but just got all bits stripped out to access RH blend motor. Not much slack on the motor cable to attach connectors. If I remove LH tunnel trim and take Hevac out I presume will have better access to cable?
or find a top hatted V8 and drive it around for 4 years with no bother (oh, I did that)
And again depends on personal usage circumstances for fuel. I put more fuel in my 2.2 BMW couple than in the 4.6 V8 (non lpg).
Test drive the diesel too. I saw one appear at a local garage last week...
