I think engine out is easiest, normally just undo the nut each side of the rubber you might need to lift the engine a bit as you undo it all the way then you can lift the engine up and pull the rubber bit out, you don't need the bracket off
mine was doing the same since i got stuck in muddy water, it done it for a couple of weeks and sorted itself out... it has not done it for a couple of months

the only other time i had a car do it to me was when the sump got filled with diesel by an injector leaking..... although im sure its not the case here as you said there was little oil in there
there should be a very little movement up and down.... its a very good chance its the turbo
