Unless you tow heavy gear I'd stick to standard springs...not HD as they can make the ride harsh. I've used "All Makes" which are as cheap as Britpart, but hopefully will be better build quality. They seem to be serving me fine so far :). The ride is very smooth (for a Defender anyway).

Well, I've just had both feet on it trying to turn the thing and it's not shifting. I'm going to get a longer handle on it I think. Impact wrench is charging up in the meantime! Why do the 5 min jobs take 5 hours? Or is that just me? Looks so easy in the tutorials! lol

I didn't know that about the "l" marked on the shaft! Learn somat new everyday! Left it is then...it's rate tight, I know that...impact wrench is going on the thing in a min if a bit of heat doesn't shift it! Thanks :)

I have them in the back of my 90 and think they are pretty unsightly! I didn't realise they were t let the heater work more efficiently. If you can do a decent job of it, I'd blank them off, along with the sunroof (if it leaks like mine) lol
