My fuel tank was leaking from the seal/rim that goes around the perimeter of the fuel tank.
Sods law meant that I had filled it up to the rim, parked her up in the garage, came back 2 weeks later to find a rather large puddle underneath the tank just after I had sealed/fixed all the other orifices under the Landy!
So, I've managed to remove the old tank (after some gentle persuasion). I am now in the market for a new tank, as I reckon my old one is past its sell by date (don't think it's worth getting it repaired).
As per usual, I want one that won't rust after 2 mins, yet one that doesn't cost the Earth!
So far, the best (as in the most reasonably priced) I've come across is this one...
Fuel tank - 90 from chassis no AA243343 to WA159806
I'm tempted to paint it in "Black Jack" and leave it to dry before I fit it. What do you guys reckon? Good to go or otherwise?
Ta muchly!
