Disco 3 (LR3) Disco 3 was fault diagnosis

I'll give it a go. I can't select different heights, if I touch the switch it immediately goes to fault and locks out.

Disco 3 (LR3) Disco 3 was fault diagnosis

Hi Stuart, yeah the pipes are ok, I haven't touched the rears and it used to work, now it's not. However for a while the rear has been struggling to release air. I wonder if in disturbing everything, a plug of failed dessicant has CA see it to block. I can feel the rear solenoid try and release...

Disco 3 (LR3) Disco 3 was fault diagnosis

Right the journey continues. Compressor now in, but newer problem! Replaced the centre valve block, now it's the rear that playing up. Pumps up just fine, but will not release air out of the rear bags. At least after this I'll have the triggers broom of air suspension!!

Sheesh this thing is cursed Ok went to change the compressor, of course could get the sodding bracket off so yanked it off anyway What mong made the bracket from aluminium. Galvanic corrosion FFS. Anyway, I've got the new compressor in, then it wouldn't pump up. Just went straight to fault...

Disco 3 (LR3) Disco 3 was fault diagnosis

Checked on the iid with the current compressor. Once it got to about 1100kpa it started to really struggle. Think it's a bit knackered so will deffo be sorting hat I we the next few days. Took the opportunity to properly calibrate the suspension and now it drives better than it ever has since...

Ha yeah the lines were full of failed dessicated coconut. A big hug of it shot out of one of the lines as I released them (I couldn't be bothered to release the pressure first) Blown out, valve replaced and it shot up a hell of a lot faster. I'll change the compressor tomorrow.

I think the piston rings are ok, as the rear pumps up just fine, it's always been the front playing silly buggers. The dryer seems a common issue and seems logical. It's done enough miles to warrant replacement of both those and the valve block to be fair. It's just easier to do it all than...

Disco 3 (LR3) Disco 3 was fault diagnosis

aye ill get that sorted. ive ordered a replacement valve block, don't want to be messing around cleaning it only to find its not quite right still. Should arrive in the next few days. Ive now cycled the system a few times using the ID tool but then it couldn't seem to clear some codes out, I...

Disco 3 (LR3) Disco 3 was fault diagnosis

Cheers guys, Yeah the height readings are sound, no spurious signals coming from that and it does seem quite linear in its readings as it drops. All the other corners lift and drop on command of the test sequence, but that front drivers one just collapses. It used to raise ok, but now its being...

Disco 3 (LR3) Disco 3 was fault diagnosis

Hey guys, long time no see. I've just bought one of these fancy gap iid tools and wow what a machine. I'm trying to diagnose a fault with the eas. It's always been cack lifting up the front and now it's getting worse, it's constantly in fault. I've got the iid on it and got it in test mode, if...

Disco 3 (LR3) Front suspension lowers when ignition turned off and locked

Mines a pukka S with the heated front and rear seats etc. Main issue at the minute is the rear n/s wheel "hanging off" with the upper arm bushes completely knackered. Makes for some rather interesting driving! Would have been lovely to fix in the sun the other week but looking out now... um …...

Disco 3 (LR3) Front suspension lowers when ignition turned off and locked

Spot on cheers mate. I'll check them with the soapy water, don't have a T4, just a hawkeye. The park brake is disabled at the minute until I get around to fixing it (usual problem) so thatll be that signal.

Disco 3 (LR3) Front suspension lowers when ignition turned off and locked

Hey all, Our D3 has the irritating feature of lowering itself to the ground (by opening the EAS solenoids) when the ignition is turned off and the doors are looked. After a few seconds. Its done it ever since we bought it and it gets on my pips. It only takes a couple of seconds to pop back up...
