Right, checked the fuel lines and the blue lip line has been bodged with a pneumatic fitting in some attempt to repair the pipe. A gentle pull and the pipe split apart. Very gentle pull. Re assembling it, it won’t grip the pipe at all.

Looks like it could be the problem!!!

if it leaks, thats the low pressure feed to filte

Yeah , I’m thinking the hp pump is dragging air in through it. the hp outlet from the pump was very poor.

Just sourcing a new set now

Fingers crossed that’s it!

At least I’ll have serviced pretty much everything! Haha

Ok,

Changed the pipe, no better

Put a new filter head on it!

Now we have high pressure fuel

Next..... still won’t start, checked the injector coding. It was wrong. (Looks like the mechanic trader has been dicking about with them?) reprogrammed them with the nanocom and it’s almost starting, I’m actually getting some diesel smoke!!

However still won’t bloody start

Last thing, when I went to pick it up, he put it on a jumper pack, and his div dad flicked it onto 24v.

Damaged the ecu perhaps?

Ah now after reading somebody more posts about cranking speeds showing up on the nanocom,

I’m only getting 239 - 240 rpm when cranking.

Crank position sensor then? I ordered one yesterday anyway so worth a try. Cranks over very well though.

I’m ready to burn this td5

Just fitted a new cps (with the associated loss of limb) and exactly the same

Rraahhh

Any luck getting it going? If so what was is? Fitting a Td5 into my 90 and having the same issues, new pump new filter and housing looks like a new fpr and been running the bleed sequence for eternity. No faults logged

not yet, new ecu loom arrived yesterday as the old one was properly rammed with oil, might have failed. Id already replaced the injector loom.
Will install tomorrow night probably.

Well that little problem cost me a fuel pump...……….after much diagram searching I found a detailed on of the fuel system, once i'd worked out what was what went and followed it all through.
Well turns out some F****** joker putting my brand new Genuine filter housing together wanting a laugh and put the air bleed valve in the low pressure feed to the filter thus blocking it, swapped it to the air bleed side and hay presto she ran a treat.
It was the lack of that distinctive sound of squoshhy air and fuel!! that I was lead to a faulty pump

I just changed the air bleed valve on mine and starting problem gone.. but I was considering a new housing and all looked like the are shipped unassembled, which led me to look for a diagram of which fitting went where.. could not find one for love nor money... glad the little plastic valve was all i needed in the end
