I had a similar prob with an Isuzu Trooper AUTOMATIC transmition, If the gearbox oil is due to be changed, change it and the filter, could be some kind of overheat cut out, thermal re-setting.

I did it properly I shopped around asked if they did td5 clutches, £350 they said then the dual mass fly wheel then master cylinder then the slave cylinder, the clutch had only just started slipping under load only.

Hi. Yes brakes, clutches, MOT the usual, they said they have done TD5's and give me a price.

99 Disco 2. Me again (slipping clutch) Its been in the garage having the clutch changed since monday morn, three days and they tell me its got to come back out because they can't engage the gears "no clutch". can any body help me help them? :( :( :( :(

Pulling away & low gear seems ok may be wrong, mainly on the motor way foot down overtaking reliant robin the engine speed increased then i caught up slowly, needless to say robin got away. Being new to land Rover, a little disapointed i.e. poor performance, rough ride over uneven road surface...
