In the last few days my rough idle has returned, and I've noticed a bit of a drop in fuel economy of late. Today I've learnt why. A strong smell of diesel in the cabin on the way home from work tonight got my suspicions up and on checking under the bonnet when I got home, sure enough, the HP pump is leaking.

Blummin typical, I'm supposed to be taking the family away for half term on Sunday!

Hoping everyone has been keeping safe today, (and on Wednesday just gone, which was a bit nasty up here too).

After my incident with the tree coming down on my vehicle in November, I have been mostly avoiding tree's today!

Take car.

I'm hoping the zinc roof of my apartment block doesn't come off. I'm the top floor!
Unfortunately my roof now has a large hole in it.

Bummer John, hopefully it can be fixed quickly.
Yes it's very annoying, especially as I only had the roof slates replaced 8 years ago. :(
I was unable to get through to my insurance company yesterday, because I loads of people are in the same situation.

Sorry to see the damage to the roof. I hope you manage to get it sorted out without too much delay and expense. I know it sounds sounds cliché, but the only consolation whenever something like that happens is to be thankful no one was hurt. The speed the wind was blowing could have made those quite nasty missiles.

Looking at the photo it seems like the verge clips were ripped off too, so that must have been some strength wind.

Good luck with it.

Hope the power and things get restored soon too.
