Can't believe the LR interval is 150k
Mines done 63k and it definitely benefitted

Do the PTU, rear diff oils too, and the Haldex fluid, filter and motor screen, as all those are also 150k intervals, which often causes them to fail before the service is due.

The Haldex and rear diff are next on the hit list, I have all the relevant fluids and parts in stock ready and waiting...

PTU has recently been replaced, so I know that is ok for the time being...

I'd not trust someone else to get that right.
I believe my rear diff was a replacement, which seized because there was no oil in it.

It's been done (twice!!) since it's been in my ownership. Luckily it's all been covered by warranty:)
Think the NSF wheel bearing will be the next thing I call upon said warranty for...

Sent it off for new brake lines, I haven’t got the time lately to do it myself

Drove him to get a PCR test, which has come back as positive.
But I suspected as much, as I feel pretty rough. :(

Bummer mate but unfortunately we're all going to get it sooner or later. :(

Get well soon. ;)
Thanks Ali.
It was inevitable I'd get it, especially working where I do. I'm surprised I'm so ill with it though, especially as I've had 3 jabs.

Sorry to hear you're feeling bad with it. Take it easy and get well soon.
K series head gasket here needs doing if it would make you feel better!! :)

Joined Nodge in the Covid isolation ward, thankfully it's more of a cold and an excuse to stay home.

In the meantime finally figured out the knocking noise that's been bugging me for like a year. Started to get difficulties changing gear as well recently, which was similar to when I replaced the lower engine tie rod.
Obviously it can't be that though since I replace that pretty recently. Then I realised recently meant about 4 years and 15,000 miles, and it was a cheap Ebay part.

This time I thought I would try and polybush it, I know it will cause more vibrations to come through the cabin. But if I'm running Insa Turbo Dakars tyres half the year I won't notice anyway!
I think I made the same mistake again though and bought cheap Ebay polybushes. Will have to cut down the small bush spacer tomorrow as it's 3mm too wide.

Got my FL2 back from the body shop yesterday. New front offside wing. Can’t tell if the driver’s door has been re-skinned or filled & faired, but it look good. Rear offside door scratch invisible. New windscreen. Washed, polished and valeted inside. Looks gooooood!
Might try for the passenger side next year.

Comments from the lads that did the work. “You’ve looked after this car mate. It drives great for something with over 200k on the clock.”

Popped in to the local scrappy this afternoon and managed to get a pair of rear door window rubbers to replace my horrible corroded ones. £5 for the pair! The sun is out so I may go and fit them shortly. Must remember not to kink them when installing the glass!

changed rear-arch fuel filter 'n l.p.pump
first time i've done it myself ..
job went a lot smoother than i anticipated .. :-]

Folded the rear sears down and loaded my FL2 with probably the heaviest load it’s ever carried (concrete slabs & bags of cement). Handled fine when I drove off.
Forgot about it until I came to apply the brakes and nearly undid all the good work the body shop did last week.
One of those “Ohhhh shiiiiiiiiiit’ moments.
Silly me.
Back & knees hurting this morning too.☹️

Are the brakes ok? Mine makes no difference to stopping, regardless of how much weight is in it, although I've only had 5 people + luggage in him.

However I was stunned at the improvement in brake performance, after I replaced all the rotors, pads and front calipers/hoses.
