I am looking for set of fog/spots for my FL1. my mate works for fleet services an said he will have a look for some for me.
Fitted my front fog lights.
Can you take a 3/4 front picture as I'm undecided on fitting them to mine.
Today I cleaned out the coolant header tank. A couple of months back, I noticed a small amount of black oil, accumulating around the top water mark.
This started forming after I'd done the thermostat mod.
I know the oil cooler has been replaced pretty recently, as it's less corroded than other engine components.
I've put this oil build up down to residue in the coolant, now able to migrate to the header tank, because of the increased coolant temperature.

So I removed the header tank, cleaned out the black sludge.
I then refitted it, connected up the pipes and refilled with fresh OAT coolant.

The oil quantity was probably no more then a teaspoonful. It has been building up ever since I did the thermostat mod. I'm not overly bothered as I know how long oil can take to get out of the cooling system.That's quite a bit of oil, hope it is just a bit of migration.
Out of interest, stuck the synergy back on, tuning part only, no MAF. Setting 2, made Sod all difference!! That MAF cleaner made more difference. Will run it round for a bit to settle down and maybe turn it up a notch.
So today's lesson, clean your MAF, if you want a bit more boost
