Good grief it's like trying to herd cats

For those that need it spelled out. A member has been warned they are under threat of a permanent holiday with no further warning.

If anyone else can't let it go and continues to incite this frankly embarrassing spat they risk being put under the same conditions.

Now for hopefully the last time....

WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO YOUR FREELANDER TODAY?

BT is hooooooooome!

New wishbones, damper and rear tyres fitted today which means it was safe enough to drive home. Got up to 60mph and no unusual grinding, banging whirring etc.

I get along with and respect both of these blokes so I am hoping that they will get this sorted out, or at least agree to disagree and let it die a quiet death.

And now for something completely different...........................
Last night I had a bit of retail therapy in a weak moment and ordered a set of Headlamp guards, and a set of 8" driving lights with a bumper mount.
Mrs. RinV is going to have a bird when the boxes arrive!
Pics in a week or so.......If I survive.

Ho hum --- replaced the anti sway bar bushes this morning, and the pipe clamp on the outlet to the coolant expansion tank. Minor stuff really, but it does keep the old interest up doesn't it. :)

A stupid mechanic tight screw up and broken internal thread from ignition coil some time ago....so I decided to remake screw thread.
I using M6 tap and a longer screw to fix the problem....

Finally got the V5 back for both freelanders so I can change over the engine numbers. MOT on Wednesday. which means if it passes I can concentrate on the head gasket and I suspect a new Vcu.

If you stop being so patronizing and acting like God, it will be as far as i'm concerned, take a long hard look at how you come across to every member on here, your reply is a prime example. There is absolutely no sincerity in it. I am happy to see how it goes. But I will not tolerate any more out bursts from you, Do you accept that?
D.D.
I had it all from Joe_H with my choice of Polybushes. I bought the L.R.O and read the article. I enjoyed it and you did a great job, as well as showing what the FL is capable of.

Lets just say Joe_H isn't on my Christmas list, Thanks for the comments, it means a lot, I've only had one negative one, no surprises there:p Ive actually been to the LRO head quarters today to discuss a few more bits and pieces, so watch this space ;)

No need to spend hundreds on a VCU if your prepared to do a bit of work. Here's how I did my last one.

Much more doable than cutting the top off and welding back on. The only tools you need are a drill and a tap.

Just continue doing what you do best. Most of us old twits are capable of making informed decisions.

This had better be good. I've started a Christmas Wish List.

Dropped my Hippo off at the body shop to have a door crease repaired. Turns out the insurance will be paying
$1100. plus the cost of the rental car. I`m glad I caught the idiot who dented it in the act!
My loaner is a brand new Honda HRV. I`m not impressed, the tyre noise is louder than my Freelander with it`s ATs!
600 Quid dent!

Seems I was right!

Gave the interior a clean out ready for the weekend road trip.

Shifted the rubber mats over from 'Kay'. Underneath all the dirt and dust I didn't realise how good their condition was. Have given them a wash down and they look like new :)
