This morning when getting ready to go and do a spot of sailing i noticed a little lake in the passenger footwell, Tried to not pay any attention and ignore it. later after i got home i investigated, Turned out to be a rather big lake underneath the carpet!!

Pulled the window pillar trim of and found it was all wet behind

So after stripping all the head lining out and looking around the car whilst i had someone soaking the car with a hose i found the source of the river down my a pillar

Turned out to be this seam. paint had cracked letting in a good amount of water.

proved this by pushing silicone through the seam from the inside and it came outside

In the end i settled for silicone on the inside where no body will see and re painted the outside seam with the same color as the car which i had already mixed.

Now all i have to do is wait for the interior to dry out and keep checking on it once in awhile to make sure its fixed

Nope it's a deh-P8100BT it's a couple of years old I think but I love it! It was the top end consumer unit pioneer made. The next in the range were their completion units!!!!

mmm interesting idea. but I think I will be sticking with the black theme

Stick with the black.
I just bought plenty of heatproof gloss black spray cans to do my callipers & drums.

Who much did you pay to have the wheels coated?
I'd like to get mine done and would like to have an idea of cost before I walk into the yard & ask them to do it!

Thank the lord you said that.

Note to everyone: Never, ever, ever paint drums a funky colour!

Thats the sort of thing I used to do back when Les Smith were about selling multi coloured steering wheels, chrome floor mats, screw on tail pipes and Moss car alarms!

Bright red drums behind my Pepperpot wheels looked.........****E!! (although at the time I thought I was the daddy!!).

Anyway, back on topic.

What have you done to your Freelander today?

Fitted Modular wheels.
