Took it to get a little muddy on the way back from picking up my new towbar... (Yes I was a naughty boy and went laning on my own, but it is a very gentle lane),

oh the joys of freelandering

I spent all afternoon fighting with the old VCU.
It had already been removed from my car & one of the yokes came off fine but the other end refused to budge!
Had to heat it up in the end.

Changed my stereo, now got a pioneer with ipod control built in and Bluetooth hands free for the mobile!

Also fitted the towbar I picked up off eBay the other morning. New but old never fitted witter bar for the princely sum of £36. Ordered a universal wiring kit from eBay and a set of terminals to go into the landrover plug.

Traded it in!!!!

It got to a point where she was costing too much, both in fuel and parts. Pretty sure the VCU was on its way out, has got tight over the past few weeks.
So with a second little un on the way the missus convinced me that we needed to get a MPV (Ford S Max). It certainly has more boot space for my wifes wheel chair and the pushchairs etc. Should be more economical too.

Its been a pleasure, and thanks for all the useful advice on a great forum. Should be back 1 day, but possibly not with a Freelander.

Cheers
