Failed my control technique on a laundry list of problems. My attempt to fix the temperature gauge caused failing faults in the brake, reverse, head, side and indicator lights, the wipers and god knows where else.
The front universal joints are worn- and they were replaced by a professional 4x4 garage only 2 years/ 6000 km ago. In fact there is excess wear, play and loose nuts across most of the front axle and steering system... which makes me both annoyed and suspicious.
So this afternoon is out with the sockets and screwdrivers, to see how many of the fails I can quickly fix, and what I need to order replacement parts for. I hope the rear wheel bearings are a tighten up job, not a replace one...
