today I finished fiddling with my brakes, I also found out that if one cuts ones new ht leads too long they rest on the exhaust manifold and the plastic melts as you drive along :D

I fitted my new Clayton heater matrix core. It seems to be a but thinner than the original, so it took ages messing about with spacers and washers to get it all to go back together and still have the fan turn.

Fitted the temp sender yesterday and the result is my gauge reads as it should :)

Passed the MOT with NO advisories!!!!! Hubby will sleep well tonight!

My dads 110 did that as well :D To keep this series related while he was at the garage i got him to ask about aquiring a new gearbox for me

May be on to a lead ;)

yesterday I stripped down the carb twice! Somehow some wood shavings have got in somewhere and keep blocking the bloody jets, first time was the 1st idle jet causing it to stall at lights that was easy to clear. Then I took the top off the carb and replaced filters, cleaned out the bowl and blasted everything with Carb cleaner. Now it runs better at speed and idle but has a steering wheel head butting hesitation when setting off which might be a bit more difficult to track down and fix....

Oh and I'm off to catch the ferry to France in a few hours...should be an interesting trip.
