Got the boot floor welded in over the past couple of days. Today it was time to refit the rear fixed windows which wasn't easy! Stretching the seal around the glass took three of us- one to hold the corners so it didn't roll off, another to pull the seal up and over the fourth corner, and a third to knock the glass into the channel. Getting the windows into the frame was relatively simple using the string in the channel + bystander pushing from outside method.

Glass and then the absolute bastard front Windowscreen, easiest to hardest Then it’s all appears doable,

Put front bumper and lights back in, plus fitted two driving lamps, also fitted second battery with split charge relay
Refitted kenlowe hotstart for the winter, makes a change to get a decent days work on the old girl,

FYI ... the Terrafirma track rod end castle nuts are an M12x1.5 pitch. They can be bought at your local DJ Evans store for 59p rather than £5-£8 a piece online.
Now that is a good tip.
Reminds me of an old style Motor Factor I frequented many moons ago. Not only did he always know what you wanted, even if you didn't, but could tell what equivalent part was from another manufacturer.
Ahh ? RangeRover doofer, £££. But they fit same one to 'whatever' that one is £ !

It’s almost been a week now and all seems great with the reconditioned 150A alternator. I’ve been monitoring the alternator Voltage output on my iPad with the UltraGauge Blue app & OBD dongle and the voltage is still around 13.7 - 14.1VDC.

Today I finally installed the steering wheel RH horn spring that I lost 2 years ago out my window on the motorway. I did this mod per the YouTube video. It keeps the horn buttons from sitting too high on the steering wheel...

Picture below is what I used today, washed then went over with dragons breath fall out remover, amazing what that pulls out, then AG tar remover, not much tar though then McGuires clay bar with final body shine as a lubricant, followed by machine polishing with 3 in 1 polish, sometimes use heavy and light cut if it’s bad but paint wasn’t to bad today then collinite wax, goes on thin but lasts ages and so easy to buff off, then run round black trims with black to the future, again so easy to use and doesn’t dry to a slippy or greasy finish. Most of it I get from Cleanyourcar.co.uk but sometimes amazon etc.

Is yours a Disco 1 or 2 ? I was wondering if it a 2, what was wrong with door locks that required solenoid replacement ?
My LHR trys to operate but does not pop open, passenger door takes two or 3 clicks to get it to open.

Don't know if we all get the same Ad's on here, but I just clicked on a link that looked like a sunroof seal.
Turns out to be a phone case ? o_O
I will take more water next time ! :)

Mine is a 1990 200 Tdi four door, it’s been standing for 12 years and just didn’t have the power to move the locks,
Luckily my donor vehicle a 93 had good solenoids except the master ( drivers door) one, my existing one eventually started to work,
The same with the mirrors they where seized due to lack of use but now working,
All my locks where stripped cleaned and lubricated, again a bit stiff so I would look at them first,
