Saves £300 quid for a new pump as well...

It is how I diagnosed a failed pump on my Fathers, he had just purchased it and it felt low powered so I did a full service, incl fuel filter . Afterwards it would not start. Checked the fuel pressure and it was low, ( also checked the fuel flow rate into a jug).

Swapped it out and all OK.

Cheers

Been busy rubbing down and repairing the doors, managed to paint the doors and rear door jam,
Tomorrow will flip them over to put another coat on them before fitting back on the car, luckily the engine hoist make fitting them a doodle,

Not as much as the poster before me ha ha

T-cut the headlights, nice and shiny again now
Washed it! Clean!!!!!
Replaced the front air valve block, nice and level and no suspension light
Ordered Auptel AP200 amazon bargain arrives tomorrow

Fitted my tailgate door hinges. Unfortunately you can't do them one at a time. Although you can remove all the bolts from one you have to slacken the bolts in the other to allow you to twist the door in order to remove the first hinge. The bottom hinge requires you to drill out the two rivets holding it to the door (as well as the bolts). I drew a line round the original hinges to hopefully put the new ones in the same place so the alignment was the same but as the replacements were Britpart items it didn't work out that way:( so I spent over an hour juggling with the door adjustment! Got there in the end though, phewo_O.

A beautiful day for painting, so whopped On a couple of coats to my doors, quite happy with results but will leave them a week before compounding ,
Next week the fun begins putting back the windows, Front screen weighs a ton so will probably need a extra pair of hands, then try and find all the bits to put the interior back,

Amazon turned up with an Autel AP200 for me, i have spent the afternoon scanning the vehicle and deleting boat loads of historic codes. Really impressed with the item and the app and even found the amount of time in different modes. It has never been used in any other mode except standard ( road ) and snow and grass!

Cannot rate this item highly enough for the money, thanks @gstuart for putting me onto this months back really appreciated

If anyone uses instagram i've set up an account " land_rover_owner_cheshire " you can see my LR journey with the two vehicles we have

They do look good as you say better than those crappy plastic items. I had my front bumper repaired around the fog light area as it had a chunk missing & no light(the rear bumper is fine). It cost me £130 inc. a s/h lamp. I've spent a few quid doing other stuff on it otherwise I would have got a pair of those for mine. Do those led's put out plenty of light ?

Refitted my windows today, started with the side rears, not too bad, then the rear door, tougher but doable,
Then while on a roll decided to fit the main front screen, what a bastard! Took me the best part of 3 hours to get her to fit, going to leave it for a day or two before putting in the expansion rubber inserts,
Knackered o_O

I have been chasing various leaks around the Disco' for several weeks now. Leaks like a sieve doesn't even begin to describe !
I spend an hour each evening after work sealing a different spot and then hosing it the next day. So today passenger footwell, torrent is now a dribble but I noticed some corrosion around a connector so decided to clean it with electrical contact cleaner. (Halfords, Not recommended). Turned connector to spray both sides and a pin snapped !
Male and female sides of same pin. I was just trying to work out how to replace said pins when the blatantly obvious dawned. Remove both sides and crimp together, by-passing connector.
Thing is I have no idea what wire supplies. I have had a crackling RHF speaker for about a year so was hoping, but, alas no.
What Fun ! o_O
