Yeah mate thanks was going to ask you actually regards making myself an acid dip pile

Tbh there won't be 'that' much to dip I think so it might not be worth it but I'm going to try to get my head round it and make a plan

Sort of going to do it in stages cos my head is a little full at the minute as it is as my main priority is supposed to be working at home so I can get some carpet down! :p

Plan is (I think):

Collect axles tonight and hopefully have useable 2522 CVs and perhaps decent chrome balls

Strip axles for parts I need and sell other parts

Put current 4 or maybe all 6 chrome balls on mates lathe and clean them up, then paint the non swept areas

Clean up your swivel hubs and paint and then build the chrome balls into them

Order a load of standard parts, finish swivels ready to bolt on

Then need a bit of saving for front and rear shafts and drive members from Ashcroft

Then, well, see where we're up to I guess!

Unless I can put it on axle stands in the corner and dip my wheel hubs too but then it's a #### to work on

Unless these 90 axles have hubs I can use but I'm expecting drums on the rear

Dude that sounds like an epic build! More going into those axles than my whole truck!!

So you say your gonna be selling an air locker........?

Yeah it's gonna be a HENCH build mate.

Will take ages though and I'm impatient :(

Will be selling but it's 10 spline!

Why not keep the front one as the from takes much less of a bashing. Get it pegged and then you can get a better diff at a lster date if you wish

No point mate, I've got a plan and it's superb and I'm gonna stick to it until it's done.

Half a job isn't really my thing, I would rather have some hardship and not use the car for a while than bash it back together.

I enjoy building it as much as I enjoy using it see :)

Photo's??? :D

Will do mate - just a soon as the snow clears !!!

Got home (about 1000kms) without incident and did approx 300 miles and the fuel gauge was still reading just below 3/4 full.

I know that you always get loads more on the first half of the tank by comparison to the second half, but even so !!! I'm hoping that this is a good indication that the vehicle is in reasonably fit condition.

Was cruising on the motorway at about 65mph.

Loving this build. Took me over 2 days to read it from the start the other day. :D

Looking forward to the next bit :D

Thanks dear, will need to check what I have to change to fit it to mine.

Yeah ok mate

Guess you're on 24 spline?

I mean tbh the easiest option is 24 spline but obviously that comes at a price.

I could supply a kit to fit this setup to a back axle using 10 spline hubs (wet hubs=better) and it would probably weigh in at the £400 mark including compressor and possibly delivery.

Need to do some rummaging first though of course.

Cheers
