What's the reasoning for going all braided brake lines instead of hard pipe?
Any gains from it. Just interested that's all :)

The reason for this is that braided hose is stronger/more durable than solid pipe, it is flexible so is easier for working on the car and less likely to be damaged by sticks and stones but most importantly it'll be damned sexual to look at :p

That bit did cross my mind :D

No! That is an impossible question :D

Will search for inspiration but perhaps simply clear/colourless.

Kinda feeling black but seems a shame! :D

I would say around 150 to replace the lot. I played 101 for a bit for the rear and 2 complete lines for front from master to caliper with a join in the middle

Yeah we're estimating 150, but tbh I won't know til I've worked it out and spoke to Dave.

Mark L favours blue :p

Just ordered a big list of parts from the diamond geezers at Barry 4x4, at substantially less than I was quoted by Land Rover Parts Shop. Like £120 cheaper!

That will arrive Friday so it's a fun day in the workshop for me and Mark this Sunday :D

Pics to follow!

So it begins:

Very nice pair of refurbished chrome swivel balls, supposedly these don't break!

Very nice box of very nice bits, more pics Sunday:

And a pair of Ashcroft HD rear shafts (early type to suit 10 spline hubs)

:D

Tell the truth these were excellent condition ones anyway, paid £100 for the privelege but no rust on the balls

The bases were rusty but rigged them up to my mates lathe to clean them up then painted them

You can rechrome them but I don't know anyone who is doing it

Hopefully the swivel ball saga will be over soon if the manufacturers buck their ideas up

Id rather pay double for items that don't break rather than having to keep buying new ones plus all the hardship.

Keep your eyes peeled for VGC chrome balls and either buy them or tell me!! :D

Jolly day tomorrow gents, will get some rusty stuff made shiny, some shiny stuff put together with other shiny stuff, some new stuff bolted to some rusty stuff, this, that, the other :)

Mark L is getting here for about 9, bacon sandwiches will ensue, and then, well, #### knows :p
