Kin hell! Those mounts are thin as fcuk too!! You should try out this dynax mate it sticks like... to a blanket. I coated the inside of upright box and it still stuck nicely. They come with a long 360 lance to cover the lot.

Ffs I actually feel your pain lol

I think there is a good chance that it will be getting a yearly Dinitrol bath from here on out.

I know what the problem is with this rear body mount, it rotted away from the inside and I hadn't taken bumper off when I looked it all over, if I had of then I would have seen just how bad it is and I would have gone to a full RCM replacement and been done with it but the bottom of the door post is the kicker I suppose, I'm in the scrappies tomoz for some other bits so I'll see if that scrap motor has a good piece I can cut out? I can't find a repair section or I would have ordered it already when I ordered the body mount for it, got plenty of 1.5mm steel I can beat to death though :)

Part of me would really like to pop the body off the chassis and have it on a rotisserie so I could get under it and wire wheel the seams and get them properly sealed and get to any flaky paint and get it stripped back and painted properly, not going to happen but I can but dream LOLZ

You never know what the future could bring. I know an old school plant fitter who would love to build one of them. I nearly bidded on a 3dr 2.0mpi yest to use but realized I have no money or space or time for that lol

I'm tired of unpacking and packing up every time I want to do something on it but stuffed if I can find anywhere affordable to live that doesn't require me robbing a bank :(

I saw a Nissan Patrol 4.2 diesel shorty a few days ago in the shop near work, bad body rot and MOT failure but £500 and the rest of it is immaculate would have been a great engine donor but I've nowhere for it to go and even then I just don't have the place to do the conversion properly at the moment. I'm sure I could if I tried but meh, got enough to do as it is.

Never mind, guess I'll just crack on and get it done, won't take silly long but it is a bit more work than I had planned.

know the feeling thought it was just a boot floor to replace cause it had sat for 15yrs in a field and the spare wheel well had rotted...gettng there though just tacked the rear panel in and have made a frame to support floor panel luckly don't have to fab wheel well as it's a P6 Rover with continental boot lid...

I was trying to cut back on the amount of work I had to do but in reality I just as well had gone for the big job as it has turned out that way in the end anyway :(

I envy you the weather though, it must be 15 to 18 degrees there at this time of year?

Was 22 today and I was rattle can spraying roof bars I've just made for the fiesta hi-top courier we use for work...

Just keep hacking. The proper fixes are worth it. These motors should last so much better with clean steel, paint n wax.... I hope o_O
I’ll have to drive a flat bed to you soon to pick up those bits and add some cash to your pocket :)

Just think of tonight's reading material. Is it in English????

You can see @resto_d1 & @The Mad Hat Man waiting to see if it works then wishing for bigger tyres.

Chinguish, sort of, but not quite legible sand scrift from the ancient heartlands of outer Mongolia and now frequenting anything ordered on-line :)

I hope it works, can't find me heat gun but I'm desperate to try it out

I need to get some more welding done before I gets too excited with it but I think I need to set up some sort of way to actually measure how much I am deflecting the arches as I am not feeling the refitting of the mini monster truck tyres every time I think I might be close

I know it works ;) I man called archenemy used to do all the 200sx’s with success and a similar gizzmo. Nope, don’t want big tyres, @dieseldog69 is kindly cracking me a deal for his old ones as they’re what I’m after for me overall look. These insa turbos are horrible but I guess most of that experience would be down to the fact the car was clinging to the road by a thread. Shot mounts, seized rear calipers, shot bushes, shot rear radius arms etc etc....o_O

Insa Turbs are horrible on road and terrifying if you want to go faster than 50mph, I like them as a cheap mud bashing off road tyre but crikey they scare the carp outta me on wet roads.

You were robbed in broad daylight with your motor but it is easy to say that in hindsight, at least you're not the guy at work who bought a D2, all shiny and pristine on the surface and with a fresh coat of black waxoyl underneath, hooked his caravan on the back and snapped the chassis before he got off his road.

Sh1t!! Yes I was. I’ve rush bought three cars. Accord type r had wrong suspension on but turned out to be a good motor, my s13 200 was more filler than metal and the d1 is a crisp packet. I’ve learnt so much over the past year though that I don’t regret it. I don’t like regretting things either! If it’s done then crack on lol

Shame you weren't closer I have a disco here you could have practised rolling the arches on it ;)

If I was closer we'd be getting smashed every weekend drinking beers and fixing Land Rovers buddy :D

But next time I'm North of the wall I'd very much like to meet you :)

You done ought with that big ass V8 boat motor? It's crying out to be put in a hippo lolz
