And he can'r get to work if someone torches his work vehicle..

as long as you don't leave too many specifics in the review he int gonna have a clue who left it.

he will a day after he dropped the vehicle off lol, especially if I am the only 'unhappy' customer he has had recently - this thread has almost made its way to the top of google anyway when you search 'mr mig farnborough'

and ruin his ;) would give plenty of leverage too :p

hmmm thing is being self employed I realise how hard work can be sometimes but I do price work, sometimes you win sometimes you lose, I think maybe he felt he "lost out"

if you want to run a successful business then customer service should be number 1 priority! I will see how far I can get in the way of money back small claims etc etc but at the end of the day he'll be the one that loses out in the long run! I will do my up most to warn people what he's like to avoid anyone else getting ripped off and if they are not happy with the work being in fear of him 'doing something' or getting his mates to do so.

Any self employed person should know you do "exactly" the work you quoted for not an ounce more until you have written agreement to any additional works and a price to do it.

You do the work to the right standard. That's how you get repeat work and recommendations.

Mr. Mig farnborough's not completed the works to agreed standard so hi options are simple.

Rectify the works to standard.
Give back a sufficient level to which the works can be completed by another more able welder.

He'd be better off getting a refund and fixing it himself I reckon, but as you say thats the guys option or go to court

Those welds are full of cold lap thats why its rolled and looks like bird****, id say about 40% of the welding is useless to be honest, if he is a computent welder he doesnt know how to set a plant up, choose the right size wire nor set the gas pressure, grind those welds flush and i bet you will see pin holes all the way along, that is a fcukin discrace to the welding profession and makes my **** boil

God you vigilante bunch, I'm glad I'm on the good side of the forum.

Muddytrax, I'm local to you and have some time as not working at the moment. I'll help you out if you want with the welding to get you sorted no worries. Pm me and we can talk tomorrow and come to an arrangement.

As for mr Mig, sounds like a real charmer and a guy who's taught you a life lesson. As a Landies owner I'm happy to help.

this is what this forum is about!!

A real good gesture!

Nice guy is Mr Hornet!!:clap2:

indeed.. I don't think customer satisfaction is his bag though to be honest.

shame he's been so short sighted, had he have gone the extra mile and done what was asked of him he would have got repeat work off of myself and I would have also recommended him to all of my family and friends.

so in theory over the next few years he could have earned 4x out of me alone what he just took home.

Doing what was asked of him is what you should expect, it is not "going the extra mile"

your right! but this happens in all aspects of work now! were family builders and the **** we see:confused: you wonder how some people charge money and get away with the work or the bodge up they leave behind, asin this instanse, you gotta feel for the muddy trax, but the main thing is, he shudn't paid the fooker, shut door in his face , then got on here and asked the question, least he would of had his car back and his cash, but no good saying this after horse has bolted, (if it's not already in the Lasagne)
